Liverpool beat Porto, set up UCL semfinals clash with Barcelona

Liverpool secured their second straight Champions League semifinals appearance and a matchup against Barcelona with a 4-1 win (6-1 on aggregate) at Porto on Wednesday.

Porto pressed forward to snatch an early goal but conceded in the 26th minute against the run of play when Mohamed Salah connected with Sadio Mane for a pinpoint close-range shot past Porto goalkeeper Iker Casillas.

Salah added Liverpool’s second when Trent Alexander-Arnold perfectly timed his throughball to the Egyptian star for a low-angle shot past Casillas.

The home side pulled back a consolation goal in the 68th minute when Real Madrid-bound Eder Militao powered a header past Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson.

Roberto Firmino gave the Reds their third with a header off fellow substitute Jordan Henderson‘s cross in the 77th minute. Virgil van Dijk made it four in the 84th with an easy header after James Milner’s corner initially flicked off Mane
